Marcus, Clinical Lead at Joint Venture Physiotherapy

Marcus. Clinical Lead & Founder

The Clinician Behind the Clinic

Joint Venture Physiotherapy was founded on a simple premise: expert physiotherapy shouldn't be a luxury, and the best time for an appointment is when it suits you, not when the NHS waiting list reaches your name.

Marcus draws on experience spanning elite professional sport, NHS clinical practice, private healthcare, and postgraduate academic training. After completing his Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, held by fewer than 5% of UK physiotherapists, he built a clinic designed entirely around the patient: flexible hours, multiple treatment formats, and a commitment to thorough, one-to-one care at every appointment.

As former physiotherapist at clubs including Hull Kingston Rovers, Wigan Athletic and Manchester City, Marcus worked in an environment where accurate assessment and evidence-based rehabilitation are professional requirements, not aspirations. Every patient receives that same standard, whether the goal is returning to competitive sport or being able to walk without pain.

“Every patient deserves the same standard of assessment and treatment, regardless of whether they're a professional athlete or picking up a grandchild for the first time.”

What to Expect

Your first appointment, explained.

  1. Your Initial Assessment (40 mins)

Marcus will take a detailed history of your condition: when it started, what makes it better or worse, how it affects your work and daily life. He will then carry out a thorough physical examination. You'll receive a clear diagnosis and a plain-English explanation of what's causing your symptoms.

  2. Your Treatment Plan

Before you leave your first session, you'll have a personalised treatment plan: the likely number of sessions, what each one will involve, how to track your progress, and a home exercise programme to begin straight away. No ambiguity, a clear, structured plan from day one.

  3. Your Recovery

Subsequent sessions build on each other: hands-on treatment, progressive exercise rehabilitation, and regular reassessment to adjust the plan as you improve. You'll always know where you are in the process, what the next milestone looks like, and when you'll be ready to discharge.

Your Recovery Is Our Joint Venture.

Stop suffering with Pain. Start improving It.
