Common Questions

MSK Physiotherapy FAQs

Can't find your question here? Call us on 07586 605462 or send a WhatsApp message.

Do I need a GP referral for MSK physiotherapy?

No. You can book directly without seeing your GP first. This is one of the advantages of private physiotherapy, you get seen faster and start your recovery sooner.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on the condition and how long you've had it. Most acute injuries resolve in 3–6 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may require more. Marcus will give you a realistic expectation at your initial assessment.

What happens at a first appointment?

Your initial assessment lasts 40 minutes. Marcus will take a detailed history, carry out a physical examination, explain his findings in plain English, and agree a treatment plan with you before you leave.

Do you treat sports injuries as well as everyday MSK conditions?

Yes. Marcus treats everything from office workers with neck pain to semi-professional athletes with complex injuries. The approach is the same: thorough assessment, evidence-based treatment, results-focused.

Is MSK physiotherapy covered by private health insurance?

Joint Venture Physiotherapy is recognised by Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality and WPA. Check your policy details before booking, or contact us and we can help.

What's the difference between an initial assessment and a treatment session?

Your initial assessment (£52, 40 mins) is focused on diagnosis and planning. Subsequent treatment sessions (£46, 30 mins) build on that foundation with hands-on treatment and exercise progression.

Your Recovery Is Our Joint Venture.
